9/18/23: The meeting was called to order at Fulton County Museum and Welcome Center, 8848 State Hwy/ 108, Wauseon, OH 43567 at 7:30 pm by Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG). 23 members were in attendance, introductions were made and the Pledge of Allegiance was given by all.

Repeater Maintenance: meet 10/14/23.

Double check back up repeater, was told everything was unplugged in shed. County Road M and 16, get a hold of the persons. Make sure back up will work in case K8BXQ repeater goes down.

 

Fox Hunt: KC8HDG will be the next Fox, planned Sunday 10/22/23 at 2:00PM. Meet at Fulton County Museum and Welcome Center.
 

POTA activation monthly using FCARC call sign 10/21/23 9:00 to 12:00 PM. Memorial for Silent Keys. Looking for names and call signs-- needed by Monday prior to that weekend.

OSPOTA: 9/9/23 10:00-6:00PM (1400-2200 UTC). Harrison Lake State Park. Preliminary results 29 parks in Ohio, 731 QSO's. 21, 199 total. Previous score last year, 2022, FCARC 10^th place, in 10^th place. Top 3: KE8SZL, KE8UTX, KB8QJF on 20m, 40m. 5 stations, 12 operators, over an 8 hour period. Furthest QSO was from Japan in the last hour of the day (AB8RC and KE8OKA). No station sat idle during the day. Shout out to Technician class running the 10m station-- it was rough! Final results should be in by November meeting.

Simplex Net 9/3/23-- successful field test at Fulton County Fair by KB8ELG, KE8OKA, KE8ITJ.

 

November 11, 2023 Veterans Day. Memorial for veterans. Looking for names and call signs, needed by Monday prior to that weekend.

Charitable donation from Fayette Schools: donated four VHF 16 channel HT's, free to any club member.

 

Winter Hamfest: Sunday December 3, 2023. Ruiley Park in Archbold. Arrive time/set-up: 0730. Doors open at 0900.
